Consolidation of extended configurations

Description

With this feature activated, you have the possibility to consolidate multiple customizations of the same type to a single customization containing the settings of the multiple customizations.

For example, if you have two identical custom dropdown values in two different dropdown attributes. You can now select one of the custom values as a primary attribute with the other custom value as a subordinate. Consolidating these two values will result in the primary absorbing the attribute types of the subordinate which will be deleted.

As a result, the primary attribute will be available on all attribute types the subordinate was previously available on.

As already mentioned, you can also consolidate multiple subordinate values into one primary value.

Supported customizations

At the moment, this feature only supports the Add dropdown value customization.

How to consolidate configurations

1. Navigate to your Extended configurations .
2. Find two configurations of the type Add dropdown value .
3. Select the primary configuration which will take over the valid attribute types of the subordinate configuration.
4. Click the Consolidate button in the toolbar.
   1. A new dialog will display that lists all your customizations.
   2. Select the subordinate configuration from which you want the primary configuration to obtain the valid attribute types.
   3. Click the OK button.
5. The subordinate configuration will now be deleted and the primary configuration will contain the valid attribute types from the subordinate configuration.
